A new airfield has opened in Zoe (200, 150). Owners and aircraft engineers are Apotheus Silverman and Cubey Terra (er... me).

Please drop by to say hello and take a gander at the selection of *new* aircraft, never seen before in SL. Enjoy the trees. Admire the wooden fence -- it's made of 100% recycled pixels.

Very nice! I'll be sure to take some screenshots there on my next posting round on FlightSim.com's forums! :)

Just curious, are you sure about the runway numbers? Here's how they work: If the runway is pointing to 270 degrees (Out of 360, obviously), the runway number is 27. If the runway is pointing to 60 degrees, the runway is 6. :)

I'm glad that you use recycled pixels. I will drop by and take a look.

James, thanks for the tip about the runway numbers. Apotheus was the runway builder, so I'll pass that along.

cheers!

It's good that you are using recycled pixels, but are they taken from sustainable bitmaps?

Nice airfield, Cubey and Apotheus! Looks very cool.

(I don't suppose you'd be interested in joining Kazenojin if you're not already part of it? ;) )

Hey, yah guys! Come on over and join Kazenojin! We're old and crotchety but always on the lookout for new flying things, and we've got a whole sim dedicated to the concept. Plus you will have a second terminal to fly to. :)

Runway numbers

The runway numbers are correct.

Though it looks like I may need to fix that little bit of grass that keeps showing through near 27. :-/

Cubey, I just wanted to post a public appreciation of your plane designs. Your new gliders are so -- wait, better not call them pretty or beautiful or gorgeous -- cooooooool and groovy. And handsome, yeah, handsome.;)

Yeah, that glider design is really nice. I had a chance to peek at it out at the Cordova sandbox. Nice detail, all the way to the wingtip lights.

Thanks Fall and Maxx! I've always thought that sailplanes are the most beautiful (yes, it's okay to use that word :)) planes out there.

(Link to an image of a RL sailplane: )

I think BuhBuhCuh was the first to build one in SL, and it looks amazingly graceful. Make sure you check it out.

We at Gray Field are smugly superior with our glideslope indicators, airway beacon, mandatory valence pragnotors, and other landing aids needed for safe SL flight. Don't be fooled, the danger at Zoe is far too dangerous! And security is dreadfully lax at Zoe Field! Anyone can just walk onto the field.

Actually, Silverman, Cubey and Co. have made a lovely airfield ... we'll have to have a fly-in someday! More runways! Can't have too much long paved surfaces!

Hmm... I've got a small strip in Tan(106,155). I suspect it's too small for "proper" landings, but quite usable for takeoffs, as it has a ski-jump. All I need is a steam catapult, really...

There's an idea - world-wide airport network, anyone? :)
