My sis is trying to choose a graphics card and i have no idea about them lol..

She is currently looking to buy

XFX Geforce 6600GT 128MB GDDR3 AGP w/ TV-Out, Dual DVI

is this good....bad....ick....?

Aurelie! :) I've heard this is a pretty good card for the money -- good price/performance ratio -- although it would help to state the price your sister is looking at... and I'm not sure of the specific XFX variant. 6600GTs in general have got sweet reviews.

I just bought a 6600GT with similar features. Pretty good card, much better than the 5700 Ultra it replaced. Not as pricy as a 6800, but it isn't exactly cheap either. Also, if your sister is running with less than a 350 watt power supply, she will have to upgrade that too. 6600GTs are power hungry cards. A decent power supply might run you another 80 bucks minimum.

As long as it has an Nvidia chip, you can't go wrong. Don't give ATI any money.
