That's right, do you want a LEGAL TV system that isn't going to risk getting you banned from SL?

Visit the MegaTower in the BonnyDoon sim, 5th floor. (210,190), fourth floor entrance, then up the stairs once, or just click the link, follow the landmark at a reasonable altitude, land on the building, and walk in, then up. Click the Advanced Scripting Notes for the 103 class. It's totally free!

What's interesting about this whole debacle is that this "TV" technology isn't really complex.
Waaay back when SL Media was in Tan and the TV thing was something new, me and Christopher decided to try and replicate it.
The programming side is fairly obvious, but we just didn't have the texturing knowledge.
I searched the web for an image stitcher but for some reason couldnt find a free one.
I decided to code my own, but the first version I made was a bit limited and Christopher decided to move to another project before I could complete my image stitching app.
I still have one of the experimental textures I created with it.

There was also the network setup by Darwin Appleby originaly and then handed over to Adam Zaius, worked very well with interisting concepts and very simular to real TV. Not sure what the status is on it now, it was one of the winners of the Newbie Item developer thingy awhile back which I thought meant it had to be free to copy, but I've yet to actualy find any copies anywhere and the old model I have stoped working since the last upgrade. :P

That's not the same thing? Oh! Well then it's THAT script that was going to be used for global advertising. Wish it had lived. Would have probably put up a billboard on my land.

Animated textures have been around since... I can remember. Dave Zeeman used to sell matrix movie clips. I remember seeing them on my very first days.

Movie with sound clip. :) I believe this was around beta if not then 1.0 I remember seeing them at Nexus Prime back when I was a newbie, so had to be around/before 1.0.

Also I find there to be a large misunderstanding between TV and animated textures. Idealy a TV network would allow you to watch content that streams to every TV and each TV could display the same thing at the same time without any preloaded textures, also you could change the channel at any time to see the different content provided on each channel. Audio could also be streamed in real time. TV could be animated group of textures or whatever else. (remember not all TV is moving)

Animated textures... well, are just simply that, a group of textures animated.

Dave Zeeman's early work was the inspiration for what I am offering here. Thanks for the memories Dave.

I cant wait to see your ass sued.
