So I go to this event today...

I have to travel a lot for work. A lot of times I am out of the country and unable to access SL for a month or more at a time. (although I was able to get in for a while in Senegal, hehe)

Anyway, as a result, my stipends add up and I like to then hit the events and have some fun tossing out money when I can get back into SL.

Last time I went to bingo and just upped the pot by $1000LD each game. This is not something I can do all the time but when I can it is fun for me and fun for the participants.

Tonight I went to an auction for people. I decided I would buy every person there and then make them all show up and critique my new build. (I'm just sick that way) Naturally, based on the human nature of exploitation the latter people went for more than the early people. That is just the way life works.

I get an IM from one of the earlier people who went for $300 complaining about how unfair it was that others went for $1000 and $1200 when she only got $300. I explained that it was the luck of the draw and perhaps she would have better luck another night.

She then proceeds to tell me what a horrible person I am and how I don't care about people's feelings, blah blah blah.

Honestly, get some self respect.

The combination of children, whoring and money in this game is just twisted. If you dance on a pole with the name "XXX Escort" over your head, you take the $300 for doing NOTHING and shut the hell up.

I swear, you try to do something generous in this game and it still isn't enough. What the hell was I thinking going to a "mature" event in the first place? Mature event, what an oxymoron.

That sucks. Virtually.

Well, I'm sure your original posting, before Robin got her hands on it, was more colourful!

It's true that you can't please all the people all the time. But bear in mind that although one person might have been unjustifiably upset, I imagine that many others enjoyed the event a great deal because of your generosity.

Should have asked for it back, bet the whining would have stopped

Robin seems to like mischaracterizing my statements.

For the record, my original post named no one, nor did it even reference a specific person remotely. I hardly see how she could call it an "offensive attack".

I find her edit an offensive attack.
