Most of the vheicles have gone missing again... any idea who the prankster is?
Kind of a pain to see the message "Your [name of vheicle] has been returned to you" or something like that when logging in.

My guess is a guy called Ryan Linden - he's a prankster, that one  Everything appears to have been returned to free up the lot for official vehicle spot lottery and auctions.

Yes, Ryan and accomplices removed the vehicles so that they could subdivide the land underneath them. Apparently most will be sold through a lottery, and some will be put up for auction, but not in the very near future.

Oak Grove has become the Bermuda Triangle of Second Life. I just recieved countless messages that such-and-such item has been returned to my inventory from Oak Grove. I guess they're finishing up the parceling of Busy Ben's lot for auction. If anyone is looking for hoverpods, boats, planes, balloons, or miscellaneous other vehicles made by me, visit Zoe Airfield (Zoe 200,150). Yes, that was a shameless plug for my vehicles. Heh.

I'm not one of them so correct me if i'm wrong but didn't people already have to own the land on busy ben's lot for their vehicals? How can they just take that away from you guys and auction it? Ignoring that how is it fair to start charging for a previously free service?  |

Busy Ben's was always Linden-owned, but you originally had to get permission to sell there. Soon you will only be able to sell if you own a plot of land. Hopefully, the auction won't hike the price to ludicrous levels, which may lock out many players.

Sorry guys, I only have so many hours in the day to do the work and it would take a lot longer if I had to contact all of you to let you know that I was working on the lot. Today, I was further preparing it for auctions. Look for an announcement as to how it will work as early as today the latest tomorrow. But there will be a limited number of lots auctioned, the rest in a lottery. You will notice now that objects on BB plots will auto delete. So..don't file a bug report The lot should be full again next week and you will be able to benefit from sales and dwell once this transition is done. I appreciate you all tolerating the SL triangle while I work. You might also notice that we announced sponsored events in the Vehicle Park so hopefully we will see increased sales and events in the area. Thx, Ryan Linden |
