Source for Overview of Objects and Inventory

I hate to ask anyone for help. I'd be happy to be directed to a place where there is a good writeup on this.

I buy objects, and get a brown box in inventory.

I cannot seem to get anything out of it.

I am really baffled by this. I talked to a nice online help person, who seemed to be suggesting that when I clicked on it, I should be getting a menu. But I don't. I get "Wear" or "Attach" which of course attaches the BOX or puts it on my head.

I take it out of Inventory and put it on the ground, but the only option I get is "Take" and that just puts it back in Inventory. I cannot seem to extract anything useful from it.

Is there an overview of the Inventory system somewhere that addresses purchased items? Is there something wrong with my interface?

Try rezzing said box into the world, right-click on it, then choose 'Edit'. In the edit window, click on the 'Contents' tab, and you should be able to drag the goodies out of the box back into your inventory.

Cross, it sounds to me like there is something going wrong with Janice's pie menu...when you right click the box, there should be the option "Edit". Click it, and in the window that appears, click the Content tab. In there, all your stuff will be available. Just drag it back to your inventory, and then use from there.

If the Edit button choice isn't on your pie menu, please let us know.

If when you go into edit mode on the box you don't see the "contents" tab, click the little button at the bottom of the edit dialogue that says "more" to expand the dialogue so you can see the tabs.
