god, i hate landlords

sometimes i feel myself like in a bad movie,

a little 300sqm lot surrounded who stay near a landlord's appartment tower, for now it was ok, until he started to crawl around, buying all the parcels around me...

that was still ok, its his money after all

now i received an e-mail asking me (politely) to sell my land now...

I was so naiv before, even thinking about buying 8- 10 more blocks to extend my place place... but now im sure he will probably never it to me for a decent price

by hope im near a linden land so i think i will not be fully locked in my home for a good time.

Dammn before trying to buy every terrain you find to increase your building limit, first learn how to build more effective with less prims.

Ands stop createing these dammn appartment towers who fill the landscape and eat too much prims anyway.

some people are coming ingame for the first time and cannot even afford a decent place because of your monstruous prims need.

I have nothing about people who create gorgeous things or gaming zones, they really add value to the sims.

but apartment tower have only two purposes:
-gaining money
-filling up the space so people become more and more forced to rent appartments.

dont forget that space is limited down here

Sorry to hear that. Indeed a lot of it in this day and age is as you said, but there are actual nice folks.

Don't mind the land whores and the barrons. They're just not smart enough to make money like normal people. Greed eats up what little brains they have left

I hate landlords too... they keep calling time at 11pm

Before you panic Kyrah, remember... these badly built, badly textured appartment towers need people to live in them. Once people realise that they don't have to live in a plywood box, the landlords will start to lose money, and will tear the tower down.

In the meantime... there is land around. Juat set your land for sale at say $1000 per square meter, and if the fool really want it, you'll get rich.

Exactly. Make the landwhores pay for what they already charge others.

If he fully surrounds your land and bans you from it, that's a TOS violation right there. You can't block other people's access to their own land.

Keep that in mind.

I doubt he will ban him, but if he building 80m high apartments buildings all around him there is no point in banning him. I say be reasonable, sell your little square of land for 10k (relocation fee) and then apply for land for the landless (technically you are now landless) and buy some more land for 512. YAY you!

In defense of the landlord, some people in this game have big dreams, dreams that can't be realized on a 5x5 inch plot. If you are dying to live there then you are gonna have to deal with your new neighbor. There is nothing wrong with them asking to buy your land, you are in their way and there is nothing wrong with you saying no or quoting a price so high they cry when they pay it. I would look at this positively, you have something of little value in general that is of high value to someone. Exploit! Exploit! Exploit!

And I agree with Kassandra. Exploit the opportunity. Make 'em pay a high price. I've looked at the plots for sale and there are some 512 to 1024 plots selling for 5k or less. That be a cool deal if you had him pay 7k for your plot then went and bought a bigger plot with less money. Heheheh.

But it does suck that you're being squeezed out of your home. But at least, he's being polite about it. I would think it's better to leave under these terms while the atmosphere is still civil between you two.

Or you could make an awesome build, host events on your land, and siphon the dwell points away.
