(to state my opinion here would result in me being banned for language and probobly several other offenses, I'll save you all by pre-self-censoring my opinion of this bad idea)

Oh poo. I hadn't considered that.

Two days really isn't enough time for this, LL - let's have more time to consider these changes, Kk?

What's wrong with that? It might mean we get more than just the same old faces in here every day.

You know when the hive mind gets going it really will over-react to anything and everything. Is the help menu linking to the forum really so important for you to have to self-censor yourself because you wouldn't, presumably, be able to state your opinion without using profanity? I mean, is it really so important to get you heated like that? I'm seeing a mad side to many people on this forum over the past couple of days that's really quite shocking. Y'all need to calm down, no matter which side of the fence you're on.

Moopf: little changes to the monetary system + SL downtime = the forums turning into a passable rendition of Dante's Inferno

nono, I just don't like forums... they aren't so much forums as places for people to over-react...
not to be negative about SL's forum, but I feel it's the number 1 source of drama polution in SL.

How can that be when such as small percentage of the users in SL actually frequent it? I agree that people over-react, but that's exactly what you've done in your first post on this thread. You're saying that your so unhappy about it you need to censor yourself because otherwise you'd...erm...over-react.

Yay, right spelling, you think they're bad now, wait till it's in the help menu.
As for how I started this... which I neglected in prior posts... part of it was self-satire, as I figured this is Dante's Inferno already, I would be a bit more polite, and simply state my view in as simple a manner as possible, wrapped among a joke directed at myself.

True enough the forums are full of drama most times, but should we keep it elitist ? It is available for every paying customer of LL anyway through the website. This will just make it more visible for those already eligible participants who overlooked it. I think it is a great idea.

Ice, sorry if I misunderstood your first post then, I didn't appreciate it was satire. Sorry about that. I presumed you had posted then edited straight away to remove, as so much of that goes on here :)

Yes, Ice, I would like to see this too. I've suggested it before, as well as a link from there to New World Notes -- as I've come across an oddly disproportionate amount of fellow Residents who have strangely not been here yet. The link is provided at their discretion so that they can decide whether or not they'd like to post here. In spite of all the "drahma", I still do. I think this speaks for itself... to some magnitude, anyhow.

:)
