Johnny Carson has passed away  I grew up watching The Tonight Show and have fond memories of his monologues, Karnak, the shower scenes, et al. Thanks Johnny for all the laughs and smiles.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear this. Carson was one of a kind. Leno was a poor substitute... so poor that I can't stand to watch him at all. I have very fond memories of staying up to watch the Tonight Show with my dad growing up.

"Johnny Carson, host of NBC's "The Tonight Show" for nearly 30 years, died Sunday of emphysema.
"He passed away this morning," Carson's nephew, Jeffrey Sotzing, told CNN.
The long-time smoker was 79 and had announced in 2002 that he was suffering from the disease.
My dad is currently dying of this. Please people, stop smoking. Wise up, read up, get the facts and stop smoking!
