No pie?

No, not in the poll; I mean I saw no pie while I was there. Struck me as odd. Unnatural, even.

I live in Lebeau, and I fly around in my Jillocopter sometimes... well, it's not really the Jillocopter, it's the other one she sells... Anyway, it used to be so nice and empty and full of trees and grass, but now there's population. Sigh.

People have been rather nice though. I'm pretty happy there, and it's nice to fly along the railroad tracks and see what's been put up lately.

YES!

BTW I am told by others more knowledgeable than myself and versed in the lore of SL that the New Continent does have a proper name, and that name is:

ATOLL*

SO use it well! :D

*well actually that came from readin' Magellan Linden's blog... tee hee hee...

Yeah I go flying there too, went flailing round in my ornithopter last time :D

The railway tracks do give you something to follow....

It still has a fresh 'away from the mainland' frontier feel, and I'm really interested to see what inventive things people will do with the shallow submerged areas to the north and east besides the basic boardwalks. Didn't one of the ages of Myst have boardwalked shallows with huge swamp trees containing aerial walkways, rope elevators and tree cabins ? Hmmmm perhaps I should relocate :)

The telehub alone is worth a visit, very surreal, freaked me out when I first encountered it looming over me in the darkness...

Cool land texturing too :)

Runs to look up 'atoll' in the dictionary as I've forgotten exactly what it means....

I bought a couple of 512's there, left the stilt houses up, someone peaceful to get away from the sim once in a while and LOW AND BEHOLD, I fly back there last night to get some peace and fecking floating cubes everywhere *sigh*

That's a geographical feature, but I don't know if that's supposed to be the name of the new continent, or even a description of all its geographic features.

I love it out there because it's different-looking and the main reason why is because the Lindens have made different kinds of roads than the ugly macadam with the white stripe down it that they have in the old continent.

Maybe we're supposed to make out own name for it?
