Hey I had a good idea on how to screen for kids. One simple question:

What do you wanna do with your life?!?! :)

You could do like Leisure Suit Larry used to do for age verification. Ask a series of questions that most adults are likely to know the answers to, and most kids aren't. If you miss more than 1/3 of the questions, you can't play.

;)

I know many adults who couldn't answer those questions though...

To be serious, 99% of the time, I can spot a kid a mile away. Children and teens give off something that I seem to be able to detect. If I see someone that I am fairly sure is a minor, I simply ask "How old are you?". So far, the only answers I have gotten are 14 and 15.

Hey guys, how about screw it? What you say? Listen:

If there are kids that annoy us, we kick 'em. Who cares what age they are if they're perfectly mature (and I mean perfectly, cuz I hate kids lol). Of course there are going to be wee ones wearing their inventory and going out telling everyone how bad this is and how they want to go back to their trailer (I can feel the flames under my buttox already) then we all can just hit the handy dandy abuse report. Bingo, that's it. Open it up I say, let them be banned if they bring it upon themselves!

There are always legal worries from people that think we don't Think About The Children and expose them to the Four Letter Words and horriby scar them for life.

Schwartz, if we ask for age they can't sue us. We asked for age. We just won't do anything else, see?

is second life coppa or trustee certified? to meet coppa requirements all you need is to ask users if they under 13 years old, if so, they require sign parental consent that you keep in your files.

From what I understand, second life is supposed to be 18 and up.

I don't want to (and will not) worry about whether the person on the other side of the AV is underage.

They just simply are not supposed to be, so I assume they aren't.

The credit card checks initially were mostly for this purpose I believe.

Please oh please don't let children start playing. Was a major issue in TSO.
