Sorry to post here but i am a long time Thereian who comes into SL when There has its maintenence, i would like small bit of land that i can build on for a small house with, if anyone could let this happen i could give up part or all of my monthly allowance depending on how generous you are

Have you tried getting 'first land' - it's 512sqm for L$512 providing that you have not bought any land before. If you search the announcements forum, or look here there should be some information about it.

I was interested in the first land offer also.But...everything I've read....it seems you have to have a Premium account to own land.Can anyone clarify this for me?

A lifetime account member cannot own any land tier.
You get given 512m2 of land tier as soon as you become a premium member (at the end of your trial period, if I'm not mistaken.) There are people who will rent land to you for a monthly or weekly fee. This often involves joining a group and setting all your objects to that group. There is an online directory somewhere that you can check and rent land from. Alas, the web site URL escapes me. Do you plan to make things to sell? There are a few people around renting land. You can build in the sandbox and keep in your inventory. Each time you go back rez your item and build on it some more and then take it when you're done. Link it all before taking it. If all you want to do is experiment with building that might be useful for a while. You can make small houses that way. You might find an "apartment" for $50 per week. Buster |
