How can I find out the most information possible about domain names on the Internet?
Is it possible to see a history of ownership/registration?

I am trying to find information on a domain that is listed as being created two days ago. However, I have references and sources that this site existed before that. I can even pull it up on the Way Back Machine.
Would they list it as newly created if the previous owner let the onership expire completely? _____________________

Hmm, if I remember correctly they are held in limbo for a period after they expire. When my roomie gets home (should be soon), I will ask him. This is type of thing he does for a living, and I am 100% sure he will know.
