because the normal sl world is down.. sometimes the lindens put up temporary grids for overly obssesed sl'ers (like me).. i was wondering if there's a link somewhere containing one.. if so.. lemme know

Don't beleive so. Its usually up only for when LL wants to test the snot out of a new release. Alas, there is the efnet IRC channel you could chit chat with people, all stranded in the cold, blurry abyss named RL
