Because that list is a lie. It's given a database of products from places like SL Exchange, and it randomly displays them in a changing pattern every so often. :D :D

Hey, it could be both. The Lindens are buying sex toys in-world, while their lackeys(sub-Lindens?) punch the code for the "Things Bought In-World" display-thingy until it submits and resets the random-display protocol just long enough for the Lindens to proudly display the names of their newest purchases.
