Apart from the normal invitations and holiday greetings, I have been receiving ALOT of unsolicited notcards from malls, merchants, event hosts and others.
Most of us dislike popups, spam email etc, and it's unfortunate to see it come to SL. If every avatar who had something to sell did this, we would be closing windows and deleting notecards all day long.
Please, let us not get into the habit of trolling/targetting online subscribers with things we didn't request.

Thanks Marcos I suppose a "Please stop" IM would be appropriate before an abuse report. I abuse report without contacting the sender. I have ZERO tolerance for spam. The few spammers I've IM'd about it have argued with me saying "It was just for your information." They don't admit that they're spamming or have convinced themselves they're not *really* spamming. It is not my responsibility to educate people on the TOS. You're supposed to read it BEFORE you log in for the first time. I know this sounds harsh but I REALLY REALLY REALLY HATE SPAM.  |

I think I was abuse reported for something similar.
When Punany opened, I sent invitations to the majority of the calling cards I have. Of course I am not 100% sure this is the reason as the notification of the abuse report contains no real information. Very vague. I hate that people are so damn quick to abuse report instead of trying to work things out among themselves. Had the individual just asked me to not do it again, I would not have. If you must abuse report for this, I suggest dropping the person an IM also. Also check to see if the person that sent you this has your calling card. As we all see with this years Christmas card craze, if people have your calling card you will receive unsolicited objects. |

I have just been abuse reported a few times since starting SL....and it's a bit frustrating because you have no idea what you did nor who you've offended. It's hard for people to advertise well in this game. They should put a classifieds listing separate from events listing in the game. |
