I think Hamlet is the perfect person to interview about Second Life due to the time he's spent here, all the articles he's written and experiences he's had. I'm glad he was interviewed for NPR's report.

Great article! Very well spoken Bel! I especially liked the part about the "risque" behaviour in Mature areas. If that had been me, I'd have said, "There are boobies there! teeeheeeheee!".

Thanks for the heads-up on this NPR:ATC spot! I'm happy to see LL working on getting some information out to the mainstream media. Let's face it, if SL is to be more widely used and accepted as an entertainment/commerce/information medium, it needs to advertise to a wider spectrum of potential users. One more Slashdot or Wired article is great, but why not try to pull in folks who've never played an online game before? I think SL is ideally suited to tap that source of players.
Incidentally, this is the second time that Bel Muse has been featured in a media spot about SL. I think it was about a year ago that a local (Los Angeles) TV station featured her in a piece on virtual gaming. Somebody posted a link to the video clip on forums, but I have no idea if it's still available or not. I think LL must have their pat people they rely on to be interviewed whenever the media calls, for some odd reason. _____________________
