I've heard numerous referals to using rezz/de-rezz scripts on homes and large quantities of objects in a sim. Matter of fact I think we have a neighbor that does that. How exactly does that work? And would the script rezz said objects if the sim is already full?

It's not as simple as it sounds. You have to prepare whatever you want to rez. Link it up, find the real center of it to feed to RezObject, put a script in so it can die on command, make up some code that determines when it's supposed to be rezzed, put the whole thing into the rezzer, maybe even have the rezzer move around because theres a 10m range limit on RezObject, tell it what to rez and where and with which rotation, etc.
And no, if the prims don't fit into the servers prim limit, it will fail to rez. Rezzing objects with a large number of prims also puts alot of strain on the sim (and the people in it).

Thank you Ezhar. That would explain the occasional lag bursts and frame rate drops I've experienced at home.
