Jeska Linden's sucks-rules-o-meter

Jeska Linden, our benevolent forum dictator... sucks, or rules?
On the one hand, some people are glad that we have some moderation in the forums to improve the SNR.
On the other, some people may think it's censorship and that we're all adults and can deal with things ourselves.
Which one are YOU?

As to the first option... what she does in her private life is none of our business.

This is no different to the poll last week, and my answer is essentially the same. Depends. We just had a thread closed that included pages and pages of attacks, insults, revealing personal information and the like. Of course there has to be some moderation if people are prepared to behave like that. And it's very obvious that leaving it down to 'we're all adults' just doesnt work.

In general, I am against censorship. But that doesnt mean I want some vindictive little asshat able to publish real life details about me and have it left there as public domain.

On Jeska, I think she generally does a great job with what she has to put up with. It's a tough call, and a lot of it comes down to personal judgement calls in specific circumstances. Sure, I don't agree with every decision she's made, but I'm glad she's there to mop up and I sympathise. I sure wouldnt want to have to do it.

As for what Jeska does with her private life, uh, I'm sure at least billy would be interested, LOL!

You guys crack jokes but.. you know she put up with me when i was flirting with her.. and was very proffessional.. She also was very very helpfull while purchasing an island. Jeska is the shit. if i wanted to be vulgar and get my point across i would say : jeska is the mother fucking shit! yay =)

Then she doesn't just rule, she's saintly.

And my sympathy for her grows by the moment. Sucks to be you, Jes
