Rose Garden Village - Closing

There are some places in Second Life many of us have nice memory of. Place with history. One certainly is Rose Garden Mall or, as it was later called, Rose Garden Village. When I was newbie and started sell my first dresses I remember that one of my first shops I rented there. It was already nicely designed and clean place in April. And management was always very decent and professional.

Many malls came, sometimes with big bang and big dwell - before vanish again. But Rose Garden always stayed. Quiet, maybe, but it was like one rock of stability in the come-and go of shopping area. I think we all should give Talen Morgan and friends big thank you and big hug for nice contribution to Second Life

Like most things in the world however one time comes where things change. And Second Life change as well. Today I found Rose Garden Village on the land market. And I bought it, as realtor and not as mall manager. While many of us have nice memory and feeling for the place, lets be honest, our shopping habits shifted. This is why it is time to say goodbye. Rose Garden Village is closing and the land will go to new owners to create new things in Rose that, I hope, will be nice contribution to our Second Life too

If you are tenant of the village, please be so kind and contact Talen Morgan if there are still any fees prepaid or other agreement with previous owner. I also invite you to other markets to sell things. Just IM me, there is nice places with space that you may like if you liked Rose.

I so enjoyed shopping there.

I had my most successful market in Rose before selling to Talen. Lots of good land there.

As a side note, have you seen Anshe's site? It is honestly quite impressive, I had no idea she had moved onto ecommerce and currency purchasing. Congrats, Anshe - you continue to take your business to new heights.

I would like to add that Talen has also contacted all the merchants to let them know in advance that Rose Village is Closing. Thank you Talen again for the heads up.

Now this is a place I'm really sorry to see go... Always been one my favorite ones to shop in, nice, quiet and not tacky, and it's been a pleasure to sell there as well. Aw, darn, now I need to fight nostalgia again.

I hope that it'll be a nice place for the new tenants, in any case.

Last night I cleared out Rose and set land for sale. I made it so that, if people want they can buy small parcels and build shops on them, or whatever they like. Kinda funny that I did same thing in same place some months ago. There is still that little street that I had layed out. So I arranged the parcels along that street again although of course don't know if it will be maintained
