where I was gratified to learn I'm not the only person who heard that Kinks song from Saturday Night Fever as
"Bald headed woman, bald headed woman to me..."

and my mother was not alone in thinking Mrs. Brown's lovely daughter had chartreuse hair.

I still recall, way back in Jr. High School, my friend Theresa singing along to Motley Crue's Smoking In The Boys Room with the phrase "Cuz everybody knows that smoking in the lounge is cool." instead of "smoking ain't allowed in school."

And the Sisters of Mercy lyric "Give me the ring, kissed and told" I've often heard sung as "Give me the ring, kiss my toe."
