I believe that those are actually prelude islands, not Linden-sims.

I concur, Darwin. The distribution of white dots showing where people hang out on each island are consistent with the Prelude layout. More indications: nothing new is being built on those islands, and the terrain and object distributions of each island are identical. It would make sense that they would want to spread out the load by shunting new people into different Preludes.

Been a while since I've been on a prelude island, but the nothing new being built along with a lot of people there made me think that they were the preludes too

They are. I got knocked into a Beta Prelude when a large chunk of the 1.1 preview world crashed and an off-shore Prelude was the closest spot for me to reappear. Had to learn the new teleportation system on the fly to get back to the mainland. There were people that ended up logging in there at the time, too. I hope they all figured out how to get off it...

The sim used by the Lindens for meetings etc lies on the second square to the NE of shipley, outside the map. Just track them...  |
