From: someone - When you change group or everyone permissions on an inventory item
those permissions are applied (to all the objects in that item) when
it is rezzed. Ummmmmmm.... Uhhhhh.... So when I sell one of my aircraft, which I sell with copy/modify perms for the model and copy perms for the scripts, and copy/modify selected in the inventory permissions, all of my scripts are going to suddenly be visible to buyers without my saying so? Am I interpreting this incorrectly? I think if my (and many others') code ends up out in the open, there could be some IP-related legal issues popping up. |

If you have an item in your inventory and you change the 'Allow anyone to copy' or 'Share with group' flags while it is in your inventory then those options will now persist after you rez the object.
If you select multiple unlinked objects and take them into your inventory (so it shows as 1 item in your inventory) then when you change the above mentioned options the changes will be made to all objects that were taken.
This is how it already works for Next Owner permissions, now it works for those other options.
This does not effect object contents.
