Swarmbots! (for the Alifers)

I was thinking about the possibility of using emergent behavior in SL, perhaps with some of these global network deals that currently have a lot of repeating going on OR aren't dynamically configurable. An ant type network could be both, if done right. The question became more of tools and control for a proper implementation. In other words it works best if you have obj -> obj IMs but if you have obj -> objIMs you probably don't need such a network.

This kind of stuff fascinates me greatly and if anyone has a SL project involving anything similar please drop me a line!

Didn't read the whole article, but did read the blog post. I think I have that issue of Wired so I'll probly get around to reading it eventualy.

But the concept sounds very interisting, would be interisting to see something like this implemented in SL, even if just for expiremental purposes. Could have a colony of small Ant objects try to lift a large physics enabled block, they then rez as many Ants they need to move the block to a position. They could also all link together to form bridges and such.
