Hello, I am new to the whole Second Life thing and was wondering if there are any second life female boxing clubs? Also I would like to know where I could find a pair of gloves?

Boxing has been done many times in SL and is quite entertaining. I've seen females duke it out in the ring, though it would have been even more entertaining if it was done topless.
I have yet to hear about a female-only boxing club though.

best part about boxing in cyberspace is you don't actually get hurt.

Someone did some boxing thing at one of Lynn Lippmann's Flea Markets a while back. You put on the gloves and it did the moves and such and made sounds. She may remember who it was. Sorry the name is escaping me right now.  I'd also imagine with the new animations being out, someone has either made some with gloves or is working on them. So you may check the animations Forum just in case as well!

*whipes drool off chin* Uh, jello boxing you say, why... I would be slightly amused to see such a fine sport displayed where a gentleman such as myself could perhaps watch the compition between two fine athleets. Please be sure to inform me if such a fine event should happen.
Back in uh... herm... I think it was 1.2 preview, there was a Linden boxing ring with boxing gloves setup, sadly I haven't seen these gloves since. Philip Linden may be the one to talk to about these, not sure if they are to be given out or if they were just for the whole promotion dealy with animations. They were pretty fancy and well done too.
Wasn't there some "cat fight" events? Or was it "Foxy Boxing"? I seem to recall some event where uh... ladies of fine quality, duked it out in, uh, rather revealing outfits. Didn't the gloves meow or something too?

Well there is a boxing club in SL that does friday night fights things. I have emailed the guy running it to see if I could be hired. Though I'm having some troubles with my computer at the moment. Hopefully Ican get them fixed before my 7 day trial ( |
