"not ok but ok" should be "not ok but allowed" two questions: do you think it's ok to vote on http://secondlife.com/vote/ with alts? do you think it's allowed? policy as stated follows (emphasis added): Rock the SL Vote! We have just released a new tool to help Linden Lab identify and prioritize Resident needs and requests. This new system empowers you the Resident to voice what you would like to see in upcoming versions of Second Life. SL Feature Voting System is available: http://secondlife.com/vote/The SL Feature Voting System works by giving each Resident 10 votes with which they can use to either propose and vote on features. How it works: * Each SL account gets 10 votes * Each proposal uses one vote and you can't edit your proposal after it's been submitted * You can allocate your votes as you wish * You can edit your votes at any time * If a proposal has zero votes it will be removed Linden Lab will mark a proposal as 'Can't Do' or 'Approved' - at this point all votes will be returned. If the proposal is marked 'Can't Do' the feature will remain searchable, but no longer in the main list. If it is marked 'Approved? the feature will move onto the approved list and Linden Lab will make a commitment to include it in an upcoming release. Please keep in mind that approved features from this list will be put into the planning queue. Differing levels of complexity will determine how long it takes for a feature to get implemented, in addition to what else is in the queue (bug fixes, significant scaling features, internal tools and so on.)

If you're sending Linden five times as much money, you get five times as many votes.

From: Buster Peel If you're sending Linden five times as much money, you get five times as many votes. I thought that for a moment but if that were the case voting should be based on tier then. I honestly don't think it matters much. I mean we are allowed what? Seven characters per credit card? Okay, so unless a person is using multiple credit cards and paying more than a hundred bucks on SL characters then seven is the most we would see a person having (more than likely less than that). Well thats 70 votes, that really isn't enough to push their agenda to the forefront as the stuff at the top of the list has hundreds of votes. Really getting upset with people voting with alts is like getting in a huff because you only have 10 pennies but the girl next to you has 20. It's not that serious. Drink your milk, take a nap and try to be happy.

not okay because it's a blantent misrepresentation and a person oughta be ashamed.
okay because those shameful people have paid for the account and technically represent that percentage of the digital population of the world.

As with most discussions dealing with both alt accounts and voting, the big pickle is always in the definition of an alt..
There is really no way to stop one group from gaming the system without disenfranchising another...
As for me, I'll just throw my vote for the things I like - and not worry so much about what anyone else is doing.. if someone wants to throw LL 100 bucks to make sure their cameltoe slider suggestion gets on the feature list, they can be my guest... it's all good.
... After all, how long has Havoc 2 been on the feature list?
A really good suggestion will eventually find its way there anyways - either through voting, or by linden veto... it's all a matter of time.
Siggy.
