Ahh I'm totally stumped with this crap!

I've been trying to go to http://www5.playnet.com/bv/wwiiol/index.jsp but it's not loading in my crappy browser! (IE)

I just get a standard "Cannot find server or DNS Error" page cannot be displayed message (like when you lose your internet connection).

I MAY have accidentally installed some kind of spyware CRAP IE plugin within the last day or two. But I'm not sure if I tried going to this site after I accidentally answered "Yes" to a stupid dialog plugin popup. I don't even know what it was! It tried to connect to the internet (my firewall stopped it) and it tried to register something to run at startup (another program I have stopped that). I don't know if that's really the cause of THIS problem, though. Still the cheap @#$hole tactics spammers and JO's use nowadays piss me off. I pray for pain to be inflicted upon them. And yeah I've done spyware/virus scans.

Another odd fact: when this first happened, I figured I'd try using an anoymous proxy "for the heck of it" to see if that would let me load the page. Um...well it did, until the next time I went to load it a few hours later. Now even with IE using the proxy it's not loading.

So yeah...can anyone figure out WHY one single website might be blocked for me like this? I'm quickly running out of ideas to try and fix this stupid problem! (My remaining ones are ugly ones, like installing another browser to see if it gets through, and stuff like that.)

It couldn't be java (jsp) related, right? (I recently uninstalled Java 2 but um...that shouldn't effect it. And another jsp page loaded okay anyway.)

Could someone do a DNS lookup of www5.playnet.com and post the ip address here? Maybe it'll load for me if I use the ip.....? http://www.dnsstuff.com/

BTW

WTF is C3PO supposed to be USEFUL for anyway, besides whining? Stupid piece of scrap metal would be more useful recycled as a toaster. But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots. Help the economy some, and stop being so damn useless you stupid bucket of bolts! R2 is 1,000 times more useful than your tin man ass, and he's shaped like a salt and pepper shaker FFS!

Argh!

Or maybe something screwy is going on with dns servers on a large scale? Is that possible? I guess that might have an almost regional effect... don't know enough about the topic.

could be a glitch or blacklist in your ISP DNS

a great place to check for IP or webname info is
