In honor of my friend Taylor Portocarrero and the incredible boats she has been making in Shipley, I have made the bridge in Federal that extends between my property and Pendari's a drawbridge. The bridge can be opened by saying "open bridge" - both sides will open, or by clicking on a side to open it. They will close automatically after 1 minute. This allows complete sailing from Shipley to Stanford and beyond. Hopefully no one else will block the waterway in Federal.

Thanks, Christiano. Also thanks to Garth Fairlight, for making the bridges in Taber drawbridges.

weeee! Thank you Cris! I love that bridge so much and I'm glad to see it can now play a part in helping the sailors in SL. I look forward to seeing it when I get back, and now I just may need to look into boating lessons.

Yay!! TY Cris! Thats a huge big circle u can get around now, well from Federal one of 2 ways, all the way up to past Kissling! Launa told me she was able to get all the way from Federal to past Slate without pulling out of water but she did say she was plowing thru knee deep streams somewhere in 3rd gear, hehe. I realize theres going to be land in the way possibly some day so Im already adding a 'raise' and 'lower' feature that will just lift u out of the water about 12 feet so u can temporarily get past blocks. Btw u did a great job on that bridge it looks and works great And u didnt mention that u also changed the land by Taejas for better access! woot! I went to look for the new stream (I think Kex reserved?) by Lime but I couldnt find it. I'll look again later today. People are really getting revved up about the boating, though it is a blast! Psyke has made real cool signage that points clear waterways out, like what u see on the freeway sorta. Very cool. I'd love to sponsor some race events all the way across SL. Wouldnt that be fun - Tay (Luscious Jet Boats)

I think the Kex Canal is in Mocha, we drove all the way up there and had a fun time, it was nice and tight and mo... n/m.
The drawbridge is great, i was surprised how many drawbridges there were, good to see people keeping some natural land like things going. Wonder how much of SL is water?

Thank you for all the nice posts. Now if we can just get Sturm Valen to remove the patches of group only land he has put in the water in Federal, it will make sailing even easier - it is very difficult to navigate the group only land and the wall that he has built against the edge of the sim. Sailing is surprisingly fun though - it is interesting to see SL from a different vantage point.
