You can download the update before the grid is back up. I think it's supposed to be back up in about 45 mins.

It's only 9:20 PST still another 40 mins you jumped the gun they said that they "hope [they] will have it back up by 10am" "by" basically means "maybe sooner" and the "hope" means it could be back up next week if it's nothing but problems _____________________

Bwahaha! They had the grid open for a bit, I logged in, then Andrew was all like: "We're sorry for the false opening of 1.5.6, could everyone log out now so we could do some database work?"

Yes, I opened it, then someone else realized that we had a database snafu that required everyone to be logged out in order to fix. The grid will be down for an extra 30 minutes. I also posted to the announcement forums.
Sorry about the extra time down, and about having to kick you and the lucky few others out Moleculor. |

That was just my polite public face for Linden Lab, Moleculor.
The truth of the matter is that it was actually enjoyable to press the "Kick everybody" button at the very end to boot the few users who ignored the request to leave. The button is effective, it kicked me out too. Now whenever I log in and go into "god mode" I'll wonder when I'll be able to kick the entire world again. Sigh... |
