Heya all,

This is just a quick post, since a few people have now accused me of selling free-to-copy scripts which I originally wrote (or co-authored) back in January->Febuary. These scripts are apparently being distrobuted through Yadni's Junkyard (no slight intended there). Since the damage is already done, I'll be releasing all the old scripts as open source freebies, however.

Please do not accuse me of selling scripts other people have written without at least checking if it was I (or my partner back then, - Guzar Fonzarelli) who originally wrote them, and please do not submit paid scripts into 'freebie' libraries, as this leaves little incentive to bother to create new scripts, or release them full-perm.

Just to remind the 88 scripts in the Script Box at the Junkyard is here since April 2004 and NOT one new script added to it since then, these scripts are the ones i gathered ingame at all the freebies spots of that time (wich was a mess if i remeber well) in my very first days in SL.
Since April 2004, this "Scripting Library Box" has helped TONS of young Scriptors Arriving to LEARN the basics and now, if you look around you carefully, you Might See the general Level of Design has subsequently Improved.
The Junkyard is to be considered as the best School SL ever had with the Jopsy s Particle Lab and Lumiere s Prim Library. It helped Generations of Newbies and this is Good for US all.
However, if you happened to Find in the Junk a thing You made and It Shouldnt be there, just IM me and I ll retire the "thing" on the fly.
Thanks in Advance,

Heh, they must have been there for some time then. I'm not holding you or anyone else personally responsible, and the scripts are fairly old, so I've set them all to be free. I'm just hoping to get the word out that people should look at the creator before making accusations that it's been stolen, since they are my scripts. :)

Accusations about improperly selling objects that include scripts made by others can do alot of harm. Sure some people dont have permission to sell items with scripts in them made by others but making unwarranted accusations has turned into a witch hunt in the past. In the past I made some items that included scripts made for me by my friend fixit galatea. Fixit was an excellent scripter and made the scripts specifically for me to use in these items I sold. Then along came this group of self appointed judges who decided to police sellers by branding them with their version of a "seal of approval." They placed medallion signs on stalls and shops indicating particular sellers were selling items they made and designed...so the sales were approved.

Unfortunately, the inference was that any seller who lacked the medallion was improperly selling stolen items, things with scripts they didnt make or some other irregularity. Thie caused a lot of problems and thankfully the self appointed ethical police were short lived. They caused problems and a loss of sales for genuine sellers who were partnered with others to make and script items. During one major weekend sales event my stall was refused a "seal of approval" medallion by the sales police because there were items I sold with scripts made for me by my friend Fixit. Fixit no longer is in SL so he was unable to confirm that I had permission so I was forced to be one of the few stalls noticeable without a medallion, suggesting I was sellign somethign improperly. This policing followed me into the Rose market where once again the sales police branded stalls they approved. I was sure glad to see them go. Sure selling items made by others is a problem but a self appointed group of sales police who judge others without asking and then brand sellers with a seal of approval was not the solution.
