Club Elite was and will remain a part of SL History and was a focal point for many people - both positively and negatively. And thank you Patrick for investing in Club Elite when Big John retired and for having the courage to jump in and make your contribution to the community!

Jeska be gentle please. I agree Merwan. The Elite certainly has it's place in SL history. While not the first club in SL, it was the certainly the first to be very successful and it survived a long time by SL standards. And it did indeed become the model to which the club explosion looked to. It was my very first hangout spot in Second Life, when i was alone, lost and so new I had no idea what i was doing. And the folks that used to dance and work there, many of which are still around, become my first social contacts. I used to love spending my friday nights in the Elite, so long ago. I never cared much for how BJ ran the place, or his personality, but he sure had a good run, and Patrick after him. Another SL landmark fades into the past.

I am surprised that I just now found this post, although I have taken a break since I sold the Island. I am getting back into the swing of things and hope to contribute more in the future.
