So, I log in the other day to find one of my neighbors is no more.. and has been replaced by a new neighbor. OK, fine and dandy...

The problem is this: my new neighbor has bulldozed the parcel nice and flat... even though the surrounding land is a slope to the waterfront.

Rant: people should learn how to build on hillsides instead of using the bulldozer.

Perhaps they should replace all terraforming tools with the 'bulldozer' icon from sim-city?

Or better still introduce them to my 'sister' SuluMor -- I was lucky enough to run into her on day 2 and quickly realized there are many more options than 'bulldoze'

Siggy.

I've had that happen to me before.

A month later they had sold the land and moved off, and a land baron bought it up again. (One of the more famous ones, who has giant floating light-discs around nearly every telehub.) Amazingly enough, he actually REPAIRED the land before putting it up for sale again.

That happened to me once. A real a**hole bought up half of an island in Natoma and completely flattened it. It used to be a beautifully terraformed hill, and this guy -- Cubey Terra -- turned it into crap.

Wait a sec. That's me! Doh!

I feel for you Juro, but are you surprised? I mean, hillsides get in the way of giant half cut neon toruses, the architectural cornerstone of Le Evolution.

Where are you from? Not Kansas I take it. Here in Colorado Territory, we actually have realized that large piles of dirt can be both nice to look at and useful. I do think that SL needs a snowboarding mountain, but that's another suggestion for another time where the word "extreme" will be used, but with the first "e" removed, and a hyphen between the x and the t.

Come by Luskwood, where we remain overgrown and bumpy. Also make some inane jokes, like "That land is almost as flat as your mom's bosom." Or perhaps a taunt like, "I have bigger hills than you."

But, yes, I'm sure many people would seriously enjoy a "MAKE FLAT" button. Recently our mountain ridge was partially 'inverted' because the newbie over the ridge lowered and flattened (his or her) land until they struck water. This was two months ago, and the land has not been developed since. But, hey, at least it's flat!

;)

Well, I grew up in MT and have lived in SF since I was in high school, so I guess I like the hills.

Flat doesn't bother me, but when the surrounding land is a hill... well, a nice flat rectangular depression is out of character. Did I mention it is for sale? ;)
