While I do not support the death penalty, I do, however, feel it's very fitting that the place he will be spending the next few years overlooks the bay where he dumped his wife and unborn child. _____________________

Death row cells have waterfront views? Wow. Well, prison cells do generally have windows. I doubt it's "waterfront" - but the Pacific ocean is pretty big so it may be kind of hard to miss (if one has a westward facing window) considering that San Quentin is on the coast. I was more or less repeating what I heard someone on CNN say, which went like this, "How fitting that the deathrow section of San Quentin overlooks the same bay where Peterson dumped his pregnant wife." The reporter may have be wrong, I am not sure. Any San Quentin ex-inmates care to fill us in?  _____________________

I think... that if Peterson got a cell overlooking the bay where he dumped his family, I think he would kill himself, and not wait around for the chair.

I just watched an interview of former San Quentin Associate Warden Dick Nelson in which he states that from certain parts of the east block of death row, you can see the bay where the bodies washed ashore.
They also showed video of the cells. There were no windows in those that they showed. Besides no window, the cells were extremely small. They did, however, play video of the bay thru a window, in a hallway and/or on a catwalk. Perhaps those were the windows the former warden was referring to. In any event, I doubt Peterson will be looking out the windows even if presented with an opportunity. _____________________
