Please ignore this if you're not interrested.. I'm just blowing off some steam... I've been out searching for land... been thinking of upgrading my account.. but I want to be sure I find a piece of property to suit my likes and needs before I fork out the extra cash.... In my persuits, I think I've seen just about everything... uggg I swear if I tp and fly up to 1000M to get to s destination of a property for sale only to be able to not set down and LOOK at the property because I'm not "in the approved list" I'm gonna scream! Why have it for sale, and NOT allow visitors? You don't wanna sell it? then PLEASE take it off the list!!! or going to a tiny plot... nothing special about it... only to get there to find out it's for sale all right.. for 100,000$L !!! I'm sorry, but a 1024 lot does not in any warrant that kind of price.... it's clearly a ploy to get people to visit the land, to up the dwell bonus... good gosh.... is the dwell bonus really that much??? I'm not naming names, nor am I pointing fingers.. but the people who DO do this are making it difficult for the REAL property selling owners to actually sell their land... and even more difficult for us buyers who are honestly looking for a workable lot to sort through the mess... not to mention all the properties listed in the "Land for Sale" for one price and several thousand more at the actual site of the land for sale... yeesh... *counts to 10.... 1.....2.......3....4...5.6...7..8..9.10* ok, all better now... Sometimes, I think people set high prices just to see what happens. Once I bought at lot and set the sale price to double my purchase price. And it sold!! I never really intended to sell it. I never thought someone else would actually buy it for that (the per meter price was above average). It turned out to be a good thing for me, as I have found some stunning land in Benicie.

Are you looking for land just through the map feature? I rarely find that way useful. I'd just refer to the find feature and look up land sales there. You can find ones being sold at fair market value. Even filter out plots that are over a certain price.

I hear ya Alysa,
I just went through that recently. You look through land sales, get the LMs that fit your size/price requirements and off you fly.
I got bounced off FOUR lots that were set for sale, on the map and on the listings that had the barriers set up so you couldnt even get on the land to check it out.
I agree - WTF is that all about? Take your land off the for sales, or take the barriers down. good luck selling ya land otherwise.

Actually I was looking through both features... both the map and the list... I was looking for waterfron tproperty tho, so unless the listing specifically said waterfront, I had no clue, so I'd check it out by the map and browse around while in there...

When I look for land, I usually find an area I like first, and then turn on Edit Land and hope something is for sale at a reasonable price. Anything for sale will show up yellow. It takes longer to find land this way, but you don't get suckered in by bogus claims, either, and I find it helps me to avoid impulse buying and regretting it later because I get tired of plot hopping and settle for something halfway decent.
I'm not the one selling it, (or at all affiliated with them) so I hope this isn't considered advertising, but a LOT of land just went up for sale in Gallinas. Both large plots and small. Some are roadside, some are waterfront, others are hillside. None of them are blocked that I could tell.

I agree with you on the flying and finding the lot is blocked issue but once you get burned once on price it is worth it just to go through the list and not the map. I've never had the actual price not match what was on the list.

I did manag to find a great waterfront property for my friend, and once he saw it, he wanted it bad.. LOL He bought it no more than 3 minutes later.. hahaha I managed to find it by looking at the map and just flying to locations... sometimes the list just doesn't cut it, sometimes it does Thanks everyone for the support and opinions offered here! I really enjoy reading others thoughts and experiences!
