It would appear that There has fired some or all of its in-game customer service staff, according to posts on a There fan site from some of the former employees:

Not necessarily a good thing. Verant's customer service improved a *lot* with the release of DAOC. It was stunning.
It's sometimes nice to have a couple of flavors of the same theme floating around because they drive each other. Azelda |
