I chose Queso as a last name to be silly and just to see what SL was about..then I fell in love with the game and now Im stuck with "CHEESE" forever.. I think we should be given the right to change our last name ONE TIME.. thats all.. you all may think this is a stupid suggestion..but try walking around with CHEESE as your last name lol

Empirical evidence indicates the Lindens can easily change one's last name when they want, so I don't believe this would be hard to institute.

As has been suggested before, perhaps the Lindens should at least extend this courtesy to partners so they could share the same last name. Maybe that's how I can become an Omega for good, by marrying Catherine. Of course something would have to be done about that pesky Aimee first...

It would be good for people who partner up to be able to have the same last name also. A bigger fee could be charged if the couple divorces and they want their old name back.

But how would we know who was previously whom? Wouldn't it be easy for someone to be one name and then cause some greif and then come back with a different name? If there was some way to avoid that I could see having name changes. But the other thing would be taking up a bunch of names in the database. How long would LL keep Jane Doe blocked for use so someone else could use it?

I would like a more arbitrary name system, rather than be stuck with a list of last names to choose from. I really really wanna be Ghoti Styx.

If they do allow name changes I hope its a one time thing per account and has a fee. Also anyone I have banned should automatically reflect their new name. And I would like to see their old name in their profile that way the system isnt used as a witness protection program.
