YAY! YAY! YAY! I just got off the phone with a close bussiness partner and was given permission to release the following details..

Soon sl will open its eyes and see the biggest club/resort/mall/rental area in secondlife. This is going to be 3 sets of linked private islands to bring you one total area of 9 whole private islands which is approx 590,000 meters of land! There is also going to be an amusement park and a newbie resident area where newbies will live for free!

The reason i posted this is because i am really excited for secondlife i know the people that are putting this on personally and have faith this will be the next/best big thing!

The noobs will live for free there, thus obligating them to spend ALL their time at the club, thus generating huge amounts of dwell, err, traffic.

Sounds like a noob farm to me. :D

This sounds like the climactic conjunction of nearly everything that many people don't like in Second Life - clubs, malls, rental! Apart from the newbie bit. Should be interesting to see how this works out. If it's done with some class I don't see why it wouldn't be a great addition so good luck Billy.

Sounds endeverous. The fact that we can TP anywhere we want (well...almost) really defeats the purpose of localizing "Everything you need" to one area  . Will be interesting to see! Will there b a theme?

How can a mall/rental/shop/apartment/club/megacomplex be the "next big thing" when it's been done at least 3 dozen times?

Guh.

I guess one of the reasons I never quite got clubs in SL is that ALL of SL is a club. You can dance anywhere, even under water, without holding your breath. Any mature sim can be turned into a strip club with a couple friends, a female alt or two, and a 4 meter high cylinder called a dance pole. Putting black walls and a particle effect up takes all of ten seconds.

Maybe I'll make an attachment for my avatar that's an entire mini club that I can attach and detach as the mood hits me.

:-)

Yup. This is exactly what we need in SL. I think I'll be spending the rest of my time (and my dwe- er, traffic) there.

If I actually am, you need to get a hold of yourself.

If I'm not, grow up.
