Jopy, if you check each one of your calling cards, and click on rate> It will tell you what ratings you gave that person. Then you can fix it.

Ok, my Italian is HIDEOUS, but bear with me as I try to brush up on it. *ahem ahem*:
Non nessun'inquietudine del negitive valuta, perché ci sono qualche volta dei problemi nel sistema che fa loro succedono. E penserei che se gli siano stato realmente dati, quella persona lo direbbe.
Does that even make sense? I get words mixed up sometimes, and I haven't practiced in ages. Ah well, hope that helps!

babel fish translator says darwin said... From: someone Not no restlessness of the negitive currency, because there are some time of the problems in the system that ago they happen. And I would think that if it has been really given, that person would say it. hehe

Online translators do a decent job, but its never completely accurate. If you want to have some fun, translate a phrase into another language and then that phrase into another then that back to English. Some funny results sometimes

Oh, and Jopy, welcome to SL! Dont worry too much about your accidental negative rating. And dont be shy about using English, maybe SL will be a great classroom for you! I am sure if you explain from the start that English is your second (3rd, 4th?) language, you will meet many understanding people. I would be happy to help you out if you see me in world.

Oi vey! Loki, I actually meant to say: "Don't worry about the negative ratings because sometimes there are bugs (closest word I could think of was "errors" in the system that cause that to happen. And I think if it was really given, that person would tell you."

Hold on a sec. Is this true? Sometimes the system itself will give you a negative or random rating???

No, it just marks it under the "ratings given." Known bug I think.

But I understood, and send u a big big TY with a special kiss In the meanwhile I found the problem; was trying to give Lili Fate a positive rating and gave her a negative one instead but now it's all OK. bacini bacini (kisses kisses)

How about we solve the problem of bad English/Italian/Spanish by creating our own language for use in SL? Or has Darwin already done that?

One thing that's always surprised me is that more people on the internet don't speak Esperanto.

Dear Eggy unfortunately I never met ur friend Fabio, as Milano is a very large city... I hope to meet you all in our little world of SL at least! Yes, a slowly spoken portoguese is almost perfectly understandable for an italian, and I'm a MadreDeus addict too ! bacini bacini (kisses kisses)

Esperanto is a nightmare. It was a poor attempt to conglomerate several languages together and it failed. While it may be sytactically smooth and easy to tense, it is a pain. On that note and *not* trying to sound egotistical, english tends to be the prefered language in technical sciences anyways. Well, except cybernetics, then it's German for some odd reason. English is possibly the most rawly descriptive languages on the planet, making it very easy to accurately describe/annotate anything. This is also one of the reason that it is one of the harder languages to learn unless you grew up on it... Read some C source code from international authors sometime, the vast majority of coders comment in English, even when the code is never leaving their native country.
