I was working on building a rollercoaster. New to some of the physics commands, I was having it shoot around the track at some pretty intense speeds.
However, when the coaster collided with a complex flying house, the simulation abruptly ended. I'm told techs will have to be brought in to fix it.
I humbly ask for forgiveness from those in the sandbox at the time. I've only been playing for a short while, but I know how much this game means to many here. Please accept my appologies for my guffaw, and the inconveniences it's caused you.
Please don't blame the Lindens or the server, either.

Heh, although I want attending the performance at the time, I can reassure yah Rye, all is well. Olive is a sandbox, and therefore is a place to experiment with everything (except for intentional griefing). You were simply experimenting with the ability of the physics engine to tolerate something as intense as a rollercoaster. Whoa... techs needed to be called in? Well... at least it was the sandbox, and not other, populated sims. == Chris++

No problem Rye. I was in Olive when it crashed, but that is why the sim is there. I must say, your roller coaster looked really cool.
Hmm, I hope my avatar isn't corrupted. I can't get back into the game right now and the fact that techs are being called in doesn't sound too good.

Heh, itll prolly be gone for about an hour at most, you wont miss anything Furious.
For people who cant get back into the game after crashing out of olive, just go into preferences, and set your log in location to your home instead of your last location.

Ah, Rye... As long as it was an accident, there's really nothing to worry about. I crashed Tehama not too long ago. My Transpod keeps rezing and coliding everywhere. The sim went down a few times, but got fixed... Rolled the sim back about 2 hours and all was fine... All exceot all the money I lost from that d*** transpod's rezzing. But hey, just letting you know, yer not alone in the sim crashing department.

well, rye, it's cool, it seems a lot of the sandbox crashers seem cool with it. And by the way, if your experimenting with rollercoasters, did you want to help out with a rollercoaster at Lindenworld. I'm gonna see if a few people who own land want to make one, and, We'll probably need a scripter who can help.

It's all good Rye. It happens. And at least it was Olive. I ended up crashing Kissling and Perry before. I think most scriptors have crashed a sim at least once in their experiments.

Hmmm, a few days ago I also crashed Olive while working on a roller coaster. (I was the guy shooting himself into a wall like a crash-test dummy. ) It seemed like I shot myself through the ground, fell for a few seconds, then boom. So my apologies to anyone *I* bumped off.
