There has been a lot of discussion about putting a telehub (or a few) in the northern continent. About 2/3 of the forum readers who responded to a poll said they didn't want telehubs in the new continent (promotes exploration and less commercialism). Since then, though, I've heard from two landowners who *do* want one.

My suggestion is that the landowners form a group and if in agreement that there should be a telehub, please let us know and we'll take it from there.

This is what Robin said in response to queries about the new telehubs.

The poll in which "2/3 of players" (i.e. 2/3 of people and their alts who could spam forums out of the five percent of people who read forums) said they want no telehubs is not really a fair device.

It's good that landowners themselves are going to be heeded, since they have paid to be out there, many with the expectation there would be telehubs.

So we formed New Continent Pioneers, in FIND GROUPS, on open enrollment, to lobby the Lindens for a telehub.

There might be different points of view on this. One telehub or many? A telehub near *my* property LOL (as many will say) or a telehub in a as-yet-undisclosed place?

This group could also work on New Continent access in general.

The invitation functions haven't been working so well. Anyone who is a land owner should be an officer. So let's try to meet and get this worked out. Join as a member for now to indicate interest.

By the way:

Is your new main av going to be Random? Is the Prok account gone forever, martyred upon the wretched ground of corruption and conspiracy?

Great idea if it didn't already have an outcome in its agenda. I mean it definitely makes sense to create a group for discussion of these issues. And as a landowner there, I'm definitely interested.

It's just that I'm still not convinced that a telehub is such a great idea. At least not a telehub like anything we've seen before.

Shack, read what Jeska wrote again.

She said that in the poll, 2/3 said they didn't want a telehub.

But she heard from two landowners, as distinct from talkers, who said they did want one.

She suggested that the landowners form a group and if that's what they wanted, Lindens would listen.

I didn't understand that we have to be all frog-marched into one group together and endlessly debate what is already debated here.

So I formed a group of those who want the telehub. If you don't, and you own land out there, form a group that doesn't want them. I don't see much point in further discussion about the pros and cons. Then the Lindens can see what they have.

Prok's account is fine, Enabran, go back to your robots. I know I like to walk around them in a game like this : )

I hear you Random.

I guess I just don't see the point unless the group is inclusive. I'm not sure how we, as players, even know whether we have a representative sample of the new continent population.

But go ahead and do your thing. I'm sure this isn't the last continent that we'll discover :D.
