What happened to the rest of the partner program?

Just out of curiousity, why was the remainder of the partner program (2 person groups, name changes, etc..) not implemented? It was a big part of the 1.4 release. Have plans for the rest of it been scrapped, or just put on hold?

Am I the only one who thinks it's funny that SL marriage is L$10, divorce is L$25, and rating someone is L$75?

Ooh! Good point! If you find rating too expensive, you could show people your appreciation by marrying them for a day! It's cheaper :)

Ha, our dear friend AnneDroid has some VERY good points to make about this. :)

I'm feelin' sleepy so I'm gonna nap in a bit, but I'm just gonna say this in that I share her sentiment:

I feel divorce should cost FAR more than marriage, so that if you wanna get hitched, it's no hassle -- but it'll make a couple think twice about pulling something short-term.

Actions and consequences.

That being said, I'm sooo happily coupled. ~_^

Yeah, why not? In California it takes 6 bloody months (plus one day) for a divorce to be finalized... during which time either party can plea for reconcilliation and make it take even longer. And just filing the paperwork costs several hunderd dollars. Why should it be easier and cheaper for SL residents to get divorced just because thier marriage is "virtual"? Oh well... at least I got the house (that I paid for in the first place) in my fivorce. Oh sorry... thats a little OT i guess. ^_^

The partner plans are somewhat dependent on changes to the database, in particular calling cards (so names can be changed/shared). And as you know, we're focused right now on bug fixing and performance improvement, so the partner features are on hold for the moment. I'll try to get them back on the list for 1.7, but it will depend to some extent on what else we want to focus on -- group and land tools, and/or an improved reputation system, for example.

Thank you, Robin :) It is good to know they are still on the radar somewhere - I was looking forward to them.

I'd much rather have a bazillion other things before improved partner stuff. Like those land tools, or llCreateNotecard. Those are things EVERYONE can use.

Thank you Robin for the update.

Maybe this could be posted in the LL Announcements, as possibly, just possibly more peeps will read and know what's cookin'.

What happened to Lindenworld? Why are Luna plots not auctioned at regular intervals? Where is Havok 2?

The question is not "What happened?" but rather, "Why does this happen so often?"

What in the bleeping heck? Lindenworld went under a year ago.
While I have to admit it was COOL, it was mostly cool on a theoretical level, since no one was ever using it.

No one was ever using it?! New players LOVED going to Lindenworld for their first experience of the game. I've heard countless testimonies of such, having given a million Mentor events around the time of Lindenworld's opening.

Back to Cristiano's thread. :)

*edited to change "newbies" to "new players"
