Speaking about adding double-bed rooms and casinos on the new A380 airliner, Branson says

"Since you have gaming and you have private double beds maybe there are two ways of getting lucky on a Virgin plane."

:D

I want to fly on his planes! ;)

so instead of flying across the pacific with some dumbass kicking my seat the whole way i get to fly across the pacific with two people going at it on the other side of a 1 inch wall the whole way? i think i'll swim.....

on the other hand it's never been easier to join the mile high club.

The 'bedrooms' will be located on the lower level, not with all the seats. Just make sure to reserve a seat on the top floor, and you'll be fine. ;)

Hahaha... I'm such a fan of Branson for the most part, except for what he did to Mike Oldfield with the whole "Tubular Bells" debacle way back in the 70s. That's such a true quote! The guy looks like a lion.

i'm pretty sure Richard Branson's first business was Virgin Records which started as just a record shop. named after "virgin" vinyl of course. again if i'm not completely off i think Tubular Bells was the first Virgin release and was a big hit so Branson was pressuring Oldfield to title his second album Tubular Bells 2 and make it nice and commercial. Oldfield started putting hidden insults to Branson in his music and made his second album one continuous song so they couldn't get a single out of it. after that he basically rushed to fulfill his contract and scoot off to another label that gave him more creative freedom.

Haha I love Richard Branson. He is a great inspiration.

Never saw his little reality show, but I always got annoyed when people were all "He's just trying to be Donald Trump." Richard Branson has ALWAYS been cool (much cooler than Donald Trump, at any rate). I'm actually surprised that he didn't have his show first.

I just went back and looked at the liner notes of my Mike Oldfield collection...

Oldfield appears to have stayed with Virgin up until around 1992 or so, after which he jumped ship and went to Warner. This puts him on Virgin during his widely revered 1974 - 1983 period where almost every album had only 1 or 2 songs.

For those who never bought anything after Tubular Bells....Omadawn and QE2 are required listening....
