Photoshop Filters, Before and After

Do you ever just play with the filters on PS to make different pics? I dont have the full blown photoshop, I just have Photo Shop Elements 2.0. But, I have fun with it playing with the filters sometimes. Do yall have fun changing pics up completely with PS?

I usually do it when the original is not good enough to salvage. Here is an example. The original pic was pretty overcast and didnt really turn out like I wanted so I just changed it completely with the PS filters. Im still learning what I can do with the program and this is a pretty simple example, but it was fun.

I know some of you are really talented with photo editing, please share some before and after work you have done.
