Is there a Zoo in SL? I think this could be a really cool idea but my skills really don't stretch to that. What i am goin to do is buy some land and we can get a team together to make it happen. I was going to buy the land in Cub but it looks like it's gonna be expensive so ill have to wait for another plot.

No point building another then lol I wouldn't mind an extra zoo. As long as your zoo is uniquely yours and not a knockoff or the existing one. I ran into the same problem when I wanted to build an oracle. Shortly after the idea hit me, I discovered two or three people had beat me to it! Instead of tossing the idea, I pondered how to make my oracle distinctly different from the existing ones. The end result was D'oracle, the Incompetant Oracle, which gives dopey responses (look for it in northeastern Green.) It was fun to make, so I'm glad I found the existing ones and was forced to make something different.  _____________________

Maybe take it a step further and have real live avies as animals or maybe an avatar zoo? Provide free rent to anyone as long as they would live in their enclosed public display. Not sure how popular it would be. I had tried something like the avie zoo long time ago in There.com, got a mild response.

You could always make like a freak zoo, or zoo of Dr Moreau sp? Don't know if your into scifi and stuff how bout a zoo of scifi creature, ewoks to sleestack (remember Land of the Lost
, a horror zoo and get a someone from the Vampire Empire to be zoo keeper! Ooh or a "mech" zoo, or a "Little Shop of Horror" zoo complete with avi eating flytraps that actually eat you and spit you out if you get too close!!!!Like Olympia said now's your chance to think outside the "zoo" and make one that's truely unique Best of luck, can't wait to see what you come up with! |

I like the oddball zoo ideas.. perhaps a zoo full of creatures from movies, from Alien to Godzilla to Ghostbusters to Clash of the Titans. That could be cool. Or the goofy pun-filled creatures and plants from the Xanth books. There's a lot of possibilities...

Indeed there is a Zoo! In game go to the Finder > Places, and type Zoo. I don't find anything that way. Typing Zoo just gets www.ezoob.com which has nothing to do with zoos. I remember Cinde Fate's zoo. It was an amazing place but in her picks it simply says "My pride and joy, my zoo! The zoo is gone now, but maybe someday it will return.". |
