hi Gang...
Well... I am sure many of you have spent many hours watching the news and reading reports about Tsunami. Current reports are that more than 120,000 people have been killed and many more thousand at risk.
Currently there are over 5 million people who lack clean water, food, shelter, sanitation and medicine. Many relief agencies are working hard at providing much needed relief, millions of homeless women, children and men are searching through mud and ruins looking for loved ones, as well as food and water.
They are looking for anything to help keep them alive. Relief workers, officials and living victims fear outbreaks of Malaria & Cholera from the rotting bodies, garbage and stagnant water. This is indeed one of the worst disasters ever.

There are many agencies taking donations to help in the relief efforts. The owner of the Flamingo Hotel in Santa Rosa will match all donations to the Local Chapter of the Red Cross made at (707) 577-7600 up to $100,000. You can use a credit card.

If you are able to help, please do

Sincerely,

oda

(edit) the information about this generous act can be found on our local newspapers website

NEVER give money to the Red Cross...blood yes...money no. They collect all kinds of money during a disaster such as this and give less than 30% to the disaster victims and holde the rest. They did this during the 911 crisis and they continue to do so.
