So can someone please explain to me why marijuana is still prohibited? The FDA has it on the same schedule as heroin and LSD... these are drugs that can't even be studied, much less legally prescribed.
I wish the fools would realize that prohibitiion and interdiction don't work, and only result in some very nasty people with guns getting rich. I just see the whole sitation as an incredible waste of time, money, and manpower. - Ace _____________________

It's just not for old folks gang, as I should know... Hehehe The only thing I hate about it is standing in front of the open fridge trying to make up my mind as to what to eat  till I say fu*k it and just grab it all and just go to town....... LOLIt should be leagalized but unfortunatly with the "moral-crusades" going on in the good old USA, that is not likely to happen anytime soon.  Again the hypocracy in america piles up. Weed is ilegal, but cigerets & booze are, which kill more people in one year than in the entire history of "pot". Go figure.........My father who has lukimia has done it, and I can attest it has helped him get his appitite up and his stress levels down and has NOT harmed him in at all. Cigs & booze though in his life? Now thats a differant story......... Gotta love the priorities of the US Goverment at times....... NOT!!!! In the 80's my grandfather smoked pot on a suggestion from his doctor to help ease his pain and increase his apetite during his last few months battling cancer.
It was remarkable how much weight he was able to gain back and how less severe his pain was. |

Sadly, getting involved in politics will do nothing to legalize pot....since there are no PAC's out there to support it (and a few SUPER-large ones that actively oppose its legalization). Think about it, alchohol (booze and beer companies) and the still-very-powerful tobacco companies (yep those cancersticks are killing your chances at legal buds..), have no wish whatsoever in bringing a new facet of competition into their collective folds. In addition, do you know how much money is made off of the drug trade by the "Drug Warriors" out there? There is federal/state/local funds literally being dumped into various policing agencies, not to mention the other less-than cool financial offshoots (like seizure laws...) Pot will never be legal because it is not a commercial powerhouse, without that capital being dumped into a few campaigns....there will be no changes in the laws. _____________________
