I know... the rest of the country thinks we're a bunch of acid-dropping, pot-smoking, tree hugging, yoga loving, crazy Californians.

That's just not true. I've never done acid. :D

Anyway.... I, for one, am glad to see my newly elected mayor standing up against discrimination, even if said discrimination is legally allowed under the law.

Go Newsom!

SF (and surroundings) is probably my favorite city. But I've always been too lazy to just up and move there.

It's a lovely place to visit tho.

But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots. Help the economy some, and stop being so damn useless you stupid bucket of bolts! R2 is 1,000 times more useful than your tin man ass, and he's shaped like a salt and pepper shaker FFS!

Seattle IS nice; so is Portland. Heck, I love the Pacific Northwest in general. :)

But San Fran is great, too, and if you lived there, you could apply for this part-time job with LL's.

talk about pent-up demand. so far, they've issued 1700 marriage licenses to same-sex couples (since thurs). normally, they issue 30 a day.

Yeah, on the news they have interviewed couples in line. They are coming from all over the country. Exciting stuff. A case has already been opened against it, which is perfect. Now we just need to wait 5-10 years for the Supreme court to rule. (I think it took 10 for the ruling on inter-racial marriages). IMO Newsome made a smart move by pushing the issue. Forget all this tip-toe nonsense, lets get to the point! :)
