OMG boardman looks nice. really. go see. the residents have managed to build well and pull it all together into a um what do we call that thingy again a neighborhood that's it.

if the lindens will rebuild their market in a pleasing style (i know they can, look at luna), the sim will actually be a nice place to live. tell you what, give me the land tier free with no dwell and i'll build and maintain the market for you as a contribution to the effort.

does anybody know the couple of people who own the empty banned lots?

Yes.. we move in.

Some of the lots are empty and the owners haven't been around. I guess there isn't much that can be done about that. There will be more houses and parks and things added. I wish the linden market looked better, that would be swell.

Yes, I flew over boardman the other day and was most impressed by the changes. In fact I was seriously thinking about buying a parcel to set up a home there as well.

Congratulations to all those people involved in restoring boardman!

We are living in the suburban paradise! I have the greenest grass, no contest!

Guess what ingrid, I SOLD MY IGBO LAND! You can now get more boardman land :D

does anybody know the couple of people who own the empty banned lots? - Kahmon Fate

YES! Well, I know thier names. There seems to be a couple, Harold and Joan Nomad who did alot of work in the Boardman/Kissling area in the early days of SL and still own a lot of land there. They even own a very cute marina on the Kissling/Boardman border. If anyone knows or is in contact with them, it would be great if we could work with them in using that land for the community, or any other inactive boardman land owners you might know, we would love to get in touch with them!

See, Ingrid? It *is* a project!

It's turning out really cool too. The market sucks. But why should it remain Linden-run? Just free up the space so it can be purchased.

The Market isn't owned by the lindens....they set it up but the land for each stall is individually owned.

I'm not sure if it is really a "project" in the sense it is organized and planned. We are just loosely trying to fix it up.

And I think Talen is right, the lindens built it but its player owned.

It's not a project, we just live there and like decorating. :D

We moved to suburbia becasue Toast fell in with a bad group of little gangster friends. One of whom is Nylon Pinkney. ;) We think the suburban air will do Toast some good. Caught her smoking in the backyard behind her house though again. tisk tisk.

Well, trust me on this, when Khamon says "OMG it looks nice," it's a project!

Sometimes inertia takes on a momentum of its own. NOW it's a project!

Its nice to see this sim back in form again. Thank You.

Sorry I'm no longer there to appreciate it, but 1/4 sim is a bit pricy. ;)

I know the Nomads and used to live next door to them in Boardman way back in the spring of '03, until I moved across the water to Kissling where I have been ever since. The Nomads are very nice people and indeed invested a lot into Boardman. Their property is not abandoned and they will return one day after a well deserved break from SL. They have a Second Life website which is accessed from the SL main page in the fansites section. I can contact them if necessary but I am quite sure their intent is to keep their holdings in Boardman.

Keep up the good work in Boardman, it is so much more pleasant to look across the water and see something nice rather than some of the awful builds that were there 6 months ago.

Ahhh cool, well if they will be back, hopefully they will be pleasently suprised to see some changes for the better in their area : )

I do love their builds, I would actually hate to see their marina go! It's so cute! Their website I found too, they seemed like they were great and productive members of the community, glad to hear they are just taking a break! I just wasn't sure if they were,or had quit the game. I'm fairly new blood here myself. Seems like there are some people who never log on and their land just sits there. Thanks for passing along that information, Buck.
