I was thinking of switching to lifer this week so I can hold more land, but when I went to my account and looked in update membership plan, lifetime membership wasn't there =/

Maybe still hope for those who want lifetime accounts. I would contact the Lindens to be sure. |

As I understand it, we're now in 1.2 and so there are technically no Lifetime accounts any more.
As Magnum said, I think Philip did mention that they may look at doing something similar in the future, but there were no specific plans.

oh i expect the next time that things radically change, they'll offer us long-time-non-lifers a chance to purchase a life account. my decision then will depend on how ll treats the current lifers over the next couple of months.

Yeah, I remember reading one of the Town Hall Meetings post saying that Lifetime would end at the release of 1.2 and stating that they would be back. I hope they have a price drop like they did for the other types of subscriptions, so maybe I can afford one then.

I got this from a Linden. Limited number of lifetime memberships, once 1.2 was live no matter how many memberships were left, they were taken out. They might come back... but not anytime soon!
