my avatar couldn't land anywhere. when she did, the land was like quicksand, gobbling her up to the point i have no idea where she is or what direction she's facing. teleport doesn't work, oh everything's blocked they say. blocked my ass! i tried the nearest one and it's completely empty!
logged out, naturally. took a few breaths. wiped the foam off my mouth. log back in, not back to the place i logged out but to home. becuz that MUST be safe.
but the same stinking thing happens again. and to add insult to injury, i'm basically flapping my limbs in mid-air, mid earth, mid-rock, all the while eveyrone's wondering why the heck i'm typing "h ehe!lep hlll p!"
i just stare at my monitor seething. SEETHING! i didn't touch any funky script to make me flop around like a frog on crack. must be LAG but i was just fine 5 minutes ago. aiyeeee! i give up!
actually, that's probably it. and there's nothing i can do about it. i just have to suffer flailing around the land, typing gibberish as everyone looks painfully away.
i know it's only an avatar but i still get embarassed, dammit!this happened more than once and the worse moments ALWAYS happen around big crowds. WHY?! it's like i've got a bug in the game whose soul purpose is to make all the blood rush to my head so i'd die of an aneurysm. whatever!
okay ... i'm done i think. that felt good. guess there's nothing for me to do but log back in.

I was told by someone that it's caused by lag, the game thinks you are in one area but you are in fact in another, if you look at the top of the screen where it tells you your location it will be wrong. I have this happen outside my house sometimes which is in Vaoetere but the screen will tell me I am in Maunogere (sp?) Similarly sometimes you will not be able to land because in the sim the game thinks you are in, there is a hill there, so you can't go down any further. When you go thru the floor, it is because in the sim the game thinks you are in, there is not a hill there. Does that make sense? Anyway....all you can do is relog when that happens as there is no way of getting out. that I have found. I've so far not been unlucky enough to have it happen twice in one night
